Art Instructive

In Collaboration with Home Sweet Home: a Memorial – 2018

Seeing art as not simply a static creation, Dr. Lycia Trouton aspires to bring the engagement of artwork to audiences of all ages and allow the process of art-making to offer the revealing of a new, but collective, world.

In collaboration with Anna Taylor of “Home Sweet Home; a Memorial,” Dr. Lycia Trouton visited Pearson College UWC, where students from all over the world attend, to share some of this theory. It is believed that art has the power to bring us together past the things, that in other arenas, might divide.

Please see speakercontemporaryart.com for a more extensive list of lectures, presentations, community arts and instructives led by Dr. Lycia Trouton.

The latter photos displayed here are on behalf of the Fine Art Department at the National Kaohsiung Normal University, where Dr. Lycia Trouton was invited to do a presentation, complete an installation and instruct an end-of-the-year postgraduate and undergraduate assessment for students.

The opening for this installation was at the 116 Art Center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan with curator, Dr. Chin-ming Lee. Trouton shared here her expertise and knowledge on the topics of global contemporary art from the Pan Pacific Rim.
